You can make a report without writing a “Reported” post, as well. But then that leads to mods getting a dozen reports on the same problem.
It’s a very real problem, but at the same time, the “Human Trafficking Awareness” people, especially those with government sponsorships, tend to see Human Trafficking behind almost every act of sex work. FWIW if a porn website has a live link or contact info for their Section 2257 compliance documents, that should mean age verification has been made at some point in the production. How well that’s *enforced *is another story.
Right, that was an assumption I made while, more or less, speculating on the potential for the misrepresentation of teens’ ages in what is presented as legitimate porn.
I have no idea how often these records get audited by the authorities, and how deep do they dig into verifying actors ages, especially if no specific complaints had been filed with that law enforcement office by that point.
Actually, you can post links to porn sites if you spoiler box them and indicate that they are NSFW. The basic idea, as I understand it, is to make having a porn site pop up on your screen be the result of an actual, conscious act of will, rather than an accidental click-through. A fine compromise! There may well be different standards for actual kiddie porn. As for sites that cater to the taste for kiddie porn without revealing any naughty bits or showing sexual acts, my response is EEEEEEWWW! in either case … but I 'm not sure that banning such sites serves a useful purpose.
Not even close. Just looking at currently active threads, there’s Stupid Republican idea of the day (1800k), Trivia Dominoes: Play Off the Last Bit of Trivia (1400k), Bakers Dozen (1400k), Workplace griping, anyone? (900k), and Free Association (600k).
I would argue further that it is not unnatural for an adult to have sex with a teenager. There are various reasons not to, but none that warrant making it illegal IMO.
