Tonight is my early night, meaning 1pm instead of 3 or 4. Granddaughter wrangling Sunday here I come. Read all the Non-Sleeper Cell offerings last night/this morning at 4:30a but didn’t add anything since I had nothing substantive to say. Guess I don’t at the moment either, but give me another chance later. ---

This is such an interesting thread. Maybe dark drapes would help me, but I need to see outside and that there are other people (awake or asleep) out there. It has to do with living in the country with a husband who was unbalanced and I feared might kill me. Isolation is not my friend. On the other hand, watching the moon drift across the sky is very soothing. I like the idea of being an early riser and used to get up before 5 a.m. to get to work early. Now I listen to traffic sounds at 2 a.m. and am oddly reassured knowing there are people moving around out there. ---

My housemate landed with me after escaping a long term abusive domestic relationship and we’ve come to be a balm for one another. Wish absolutely none of us needed it, Mumper or otherwise. Sounds like time and a few dollars well spent. As long as one never loses more than is budgeted, a good time and well worth it. My parents used to go to the casino with a set amount of cash to bet with and when that was gone, they ate a nice dinner and came home. If they chose to not keep betting the evenings winnings, they just put them towards their next trip and had that much more to play with (and, yes, some beers and drinks came out each time😉where do you think I learned it?). **Boo** ---

whelp, been an interesting couple of weeks. The State purchased the campus where Hewlett Packard had part of their printer division and has been slowly consolidating agencies there over the past two years. Thus far, my company has seemed to be able to win all the bids for the larger organizations (tax commission, industrial commission) and a few of the smaller ones such as the board of nursing and the dept of professional licensing which are the two I moved last week and part of this week(or some such name). One of my coworkers and I have a damn good system worked out such that there are very few problems with these moves (in essence if not fact, a “perfect” move). Talked to the sales guy handling this and he said this is going to be a ten year project getting everyone in there and settled, and we’re pretty solid for getting most of those. Alas, I’ve been doing so many commercial and office moves this year that today when I helped move a family into their new home, by lunch time I was feeling every, single, step upstairs and down into the fully finished basement. Haven’t ran stairs in a looong while. Good problem to have, I guess? Also, got a flu shot today. ---

I woke up in the wee hours itching. For the first time, my Lidocaine patches got help from medical tape, so they wouldn’t wander. At 3 AM, my body screamed “ENOUGH,” so the patches and tape got r-r-i-i-i-p-p-p-p-e-d off. By this time, all the skin on my body itches like crazy. It feels like its trying to crawl off my body. Rather than toss and turn like a rotisserie chicken and disturbing Mr VOW’s beauty slumber, I stormed out of the bedroom to sit in my recliner to chew on Benedryl and slather LANACANE wherever I can reach. But, HEY! Lidocaine did its magic, my neck doesn’t hurt! I think I’m ready to crawl back in bed. ~VOW ---

wait, what did I miss or forget @vow ? So I ordered a Paulette Jordan\* yard sign today. First time I’ve ever made a political statement like that to the public at large, well it will be once it arrives and is posted. Normally, I don’t do yard signs or bumper stickers or buttons or the like. It seems, well it’s just not my style normally. Any more though these days…besides, it will satisfy my contrarian and antagonistic streak to piss off the people down the street flying a trump flag. In other news, I talked to my mortgage holder about the possibility of buying even more homeowners insurance and am going to talk to and advise the Roomies to take out some renter’s insurance just in case. Enough poly-ticks. Visited with the parents this evening. Planning on having dinner with them tomorrow. Gonner have Squarsh fer dinner, along with prolley salad most likely and maybe a baguette. Or maybe two, we’ll see \*Paulette Jordan is a Native American Woman who is running for the Senate against jim risch and is unabashedly, unapologetically, thoroughly liberal, at least for Idaho anyway. And the bit about homeowners insurance was just a joke for emphasis about how insecure I feel about this. Specially where I live. Not the bit about renter’s insurance though. ---

Today was a beautiful day, but it was time to put the cover on my air conditioning unit. It doesn’t appear that I’ll need it any more this year, sadly. Winter is coming, after all. I found that one of our TV networks has a pile of old TV shows that are available at no cost. So, I’m binge-watching “Fantasy Island.” Lots of fun, as I haven’t seen these since they first aired. “De plane! De plane!” indeed. ---

Yep, driving around the valley this evening helping my neices (one of which just graduated Nursing School in Hawaii last week YAY!) collect a 100gal fish tank, I realized it was bonfire season now that the smoke from the wildfires has finally cleared out, mostly. All the farmers burning huge piles of brush and whatever else collected from, somewhere? I dunno. Lots of bonfires today though. On other news, my niece graduated nursing school last week. Major step on her journey to her goal of being a nurse practitioner. ---

Yeah, I wouldn’t either, but where I live, most of the people don’t seem to be given to much thought beyond the end of their nose about things like that, unfortunately. Is it normal for the injection site of a flu shot to be swollen and somewhat sore four days after the shot was given? ---
