I’m sure that was fuel on the fire, but Hermes is just almost universally hated by recipients of parcels; speaking for myself, my heart sinks when I buy something on eBay and I get a tracking notification from Hermes. It’s generally OK if they deliver successfully on the first attempt, but if for any reason that doesn’t happen (whether it’s that you weren’t in to sign, or the parcel gets delayed in transit), the chances of it ending well take a dramatic nosedive. ---

Thank you! It’s functional (it emits a lot of heat), but it has no back boiler or anything, so it heats the living room (and to some extent, adjoining rooms if we keep the door open once it’s hot).
