If I don’t have _Arrested Development_ on Sunday nights, what DO I have? _sob_ This is the show I’ve been crowing about to everyone else since we started watching it from the beginning. This is the first show my husband and I found _together_ and started watching - it’s _our_ show. It’s stunningly written, the actors are playing these deep characters who, while I’d never invite them over to my house for fear they’d steal the silver(ware), I’d certainly never turn down an invitation to the Bluth house for corned beef and cabbage. That’s it. Should the show _soooob_ go, I’m going to dedicate my life to the memory of Lindsay and Tobias Bluth, and start a cart in the mall for “Mommy, What Will I Look Like?”, selling Temocil at the same time. This is seriously affecting my wellness. American Dad is such a bag of ass even Job wouldn’t watch it. And how the hell are they running out of room on Sunday nights anyway? By my count there are six half-hour slots. At the moment we have King of the Hill, The Simpsons, Malcolm, and Arrested Development. Am I crazy or is that four? Can’t we have Arrested Development instead of a “bonus” Malcolm or something? \>\_\< Bastards. ---

AD would never make it back if it got cancelled. Family Guy came back in part because of the viewers it recieved on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. That helped push the DVD sales which brought it back on the air on Fox which led to Seth McFarlane (Not Todd, he does the Spawn Comic book and other things) getting a contract for American Dad. Basically, it’s the fault of the people who watched Family Guy. I know a few. Time for a thank you pimp slap. :mad: One of the funniest sitcoms I’ve ever seen is going to be replaced by American Dad. :mad: Fox really is the evil empire. ---

\ Jeffrey Tambor cancelled his appearance on _Ellen_ this morning. Or they cancelled him, I’m not sure. Fuck. OTOH, Bateman’s still hosting SNL and he should be on Conan tonight. He’s a savvy guy who knows the biz and should have the latest info. I’m staying up. The despondent David Cross muttered that the show would probably be replaced with “America’s Sexiest Retards” or something. That’s not a joke, it’s a prediction. \ ---

I didn’t make it to the first comercial break of American Dad before the channel was changed, and I was at a Superbowl party with many drunk people, who thought that the episode of The Simpsons before was hilarious. This is bad news. ---

The Tick cartoon had several flashes of brilliance, but all the best material is adapted from the original 12-issue run of the comics from the '80s, when Ben Edlund both wrote and drew them. They are reprinted in several Tick Omnibus editions. Last I checked, the books contained #1-6, #7-10 (the two I already own), and #11-12. I cannot recommend these highly enough to any fans of the Tick from television. ---
