They, much like meth, will keep you awake for a while. \ Considering that Iā€™m currently living and teaching in Montana and grew up in a state that was, at the time, the ā€œmeth capital of the U.S.ā€, I was interested to read a student paper arguing _against_ the Montana Meth Project ads on the grounds that their portrayal of addiction is so horrific that it encourages stereotyping of and prejudice against former meth addicts. There may be a compelling argument to be made for this position (the paper didnā€™t do it), but Iā€™m in full support of the MMP ads for the simple reason that Iā€™ve seen meth addiction in my family, and Iā€™m far more concerned about preventing this kind of horror in the first place than I am about any perceived prejudice against former meth users. I mean, I heartily applaud anyone whoā€™s exorcised meth from his or her life. But letā€™s try and prevent others from going through that too, huh? \ Sorry. But if Montanans are at least doing google-research on meth, maybe knowledge will overcome for once. ---

When youā€™ve already equated marijuana with heroin, your credibility is in a worse shape than a methheadā€™s teeth.
