And as far as the SF/LA thing… I had a job offer in L.A. a few months ago, and tried to decide if I should move from the Bay Area… and finally, after many hours of contemplation, moved to Toronto.
At least I don’t have to put up with relatives from out of town asking if they can go to Disneyland and Rodeo drive when they visit SF any more…
Thought it might be… but I like to counter those ideas when I can. Like so many locations where people come from elsewhere, the need to be a real local can lead to some overreaction. Some seem to feel like we’re going to deport them if they are caught in a tourist area
