In a similar vein, I’d like to see more Campy B-movies being made for Matinee or Cheap Tuesday screenings- make the tickets some stupidly low sum of money (AUD$3-$5 or something equally trivial) and have a double feature of movies that are true B-Grade But Fun and everyone can enjoy themselves! Also, I’d quite like to see newsreels brought back. I think they’re swell. 😃 ---

Friday night videos. Hell, how about MTV when they played music videos? The dollar movies, that were actually a dollar! I don’t know why, but I actually kinda miss the Cold War. I remember during the 80’s it seemed more like a rivalry, not unlike schools from neighboring towns. Plus we could always make fun of the Russians in our movies. Nowadays we can’t mock terrorists because that’s “being insensitive of other cultures” :rolleyes: Actual Sci-fi movies. Smoking wherever the hell you wanted. +1 to arcades. Especially where the games only took ONE quarter! Only the newest and most in demand games took TWO quarters! TWO! ---

Hell, I want going to a movie to be a big deal again, with uniformed ushers and curtains in front of the screen that opened when the movie began. Maybe it’s selective memory, but going to a weekend movie was an _event_. ---

Pinball machines where you got 5 balls, rather than 3, for your nickel/dime/quarter/whatever. When they made that change was when I stopped playing pinball - I’d had enough 5-ball games where 2 of the first 3 balls would drain without ever touching flippers, that I couldn’t see playing pinball anymore if they only gave you 3 balls. Raise the price, sure. But don’t cut the number of plays. ---
