Hey guys,…I really didn’t intend to start anything here. I was just stumbling around, looking for the lightswitch and someone made me feel very welcome and not the lameass I felt like. If you guys have something personal going on, I’m sorry for throwing gas on it. In any case, I want to thank both of you for welcoming me. ---

Yeah! Terribly courteous. Nah, I don’t think there is a big backlog of animosity other than there is a large contingent of dopers who dislike flirting and are getting increasingly sick of how it is creeping into threads which are not flirt threads. ---

Flirting in joke “Mad Scientist” threads, flirting in sodding _chess games_, for Christ’s sake - every thread I open seems to contain gratuitous tee-hee come-ons, almost always by the same culprit {and yes, **Kythereia** , I _am_ talking about you}, and now the fuzzie-wuzzies have crept into the Pit, the once safe haven of vitriol and bile, and it’s pissing me off no end.
