Nice Alinsky reference, I’m sure that will help you with the Right Wing Small Penis Convention (I think you refer to them as NRA meetings) with Obama Bingo.

Not a single mention in this thread about automatic weapons so please keep making things up.

I’m a liberal who doesn’t need a gun because my cock is plenty big enough and I don’t have a bunch of people who want to harm me - what have you done to warrant this? Post bullshit on a message board? If you really think that so many people are out to get you that you need a _semi_-automatic high-powered gun with a [100-round magazine](http://www.surefire.com/mag5-100.html) then maybe you should stop being such an asshole. Just a thought.

Listen, fuckwit. I know a shitload more about guns than you do. All AR-15 clones should be banned with no grandfathering. Turn them in or face felony possession charges. At the very least that gets the nutballs who own them to bury them in the backyard where they are out of reach.

Never let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

If you had even the slightest bit of knowledge regarding guns, you wouldn’t spout such ignorance.

The AR-15 is an extremely popular gun in American. Millions are owned, while hardly any are used in crimes. A lot like drugs, banning guns will not make them go away. It’s an intellectually-lazy concept.

Of course you don’t need a gun. You reside in some safe, lily-white domain, detached from the realities of danger. You’re also an ignoramus of a leftist, too sanctimonious to absorb the meaning of the 2nd amendment.

As for me:

I’m a libertarian who’s never owned a gun, nor even held one. I’m from a violent area in Chicago, where the strictest of gun laws have failed to stall the violence. All said laws do is make it hard for the good guys–many of whom are minorities being held hostage in their own neighborhoods–from obtaining guns. And I’ve got a big dick.

Now get back to your lily-white existence!

No, it’s a shame that you keep blaming the religion. This guy just picked whatever hate-filled group to join because he was upset at the world. The religion was irrelevant.

And what you consider standing on the backs of the dead, the rest of us consider “actually trying to do something to stop this sort of thing.” You may disagree with the method, but I’d much rather see someone trying to stop things than just empty platitudes.

No amount of attacking Islam is going to help. It will just make Muslims think that maybe ISIS is right about us–that we really are the great enemy of Islam.

Why in the world not support Islam while also decrying ISIS and other jihadists?

Supporting Islam is fine. Refusing to acknowledge the radical elements of Islam, which have been responsible for violence all across the globe, is pure ignorance.

Your approach of simply ignoring the problem away won’t work. There is a loud, intolerant minority who makeup the Islamic faith. The religion is relevant when it consistently commits violent acts upon innocent people.

If leftists are going to insist on ignoring the problem that is radical Islam, by hijacking the narrative and turning it to guns, the least they can do is educate themselves on the topic. The ignorance spewed by leftists regarding guns is childlike.

Emphasis mine.

It’s odd that the Right says that gun laws don’t work because criminals won’t obey the law, yet they seem to think that sexual predators would magically obey the law regarding transsexuals and bathrooms.

So first I read the news and Trump’s congratulating himself for this event, then come to the boards to see one right winger blaming it on liberals, then another being outraged at the idea that gun control might have prevented this.

I’m at the point now where I’ve pretty much accepted the US is going to split up. You really don’t seem like a functional relationship anymore. You have a tragedy like this, and the first reaction is to try to score points against other people? It’s a messy divorce on a national level.

Oh, shit. I knew this was going to be dumb but I had no idea you were going to embarrass yourself this badly. You have my deepest condolences. I thought you were trying to make some relevant remark regarding the horrific attack on the gay nightclub and the attempted attack on the LA Pride parade.

Instead, you grab random video of a couple of Marlon Randos having random conversations a few years back. This is pointless enough, but then - as evidence of your alleged liberals defending the indefensible - you produce two famous liberals, Maher and Hitchens, who completely tear into Islam.

In other words: your example of “liberals defending the indefensible” is, in fact, two famous liberals insisting that there is no possible defense to be made.

Damn, you’re a moron, Stringbean. But I guess I knew that when I asked you for examples.

Carry on with gun argument, folks. That’s all this thread’s good for.

It’s a shame that the bodies of 50+ innocent people who were senselessly murdered, and whose bodies aren’t even cold yet, are being used by gun nuts everywhere–in true ignorant moron form–to push an agenda of being allowed to own the weapon that kills 50 people so easily. It’s deplorable that our nation’s Republican Presidential candidate, on his blowhard twitter feed, stood on the backs of the deceased in order to propel his agenda, while refusing, once again, to name the policies regarding guns associated with such devastation.

I simply wish right wingers would take some time to learn anything about guns, instead of spouting off about a subject in which they remain entrenched in ignorance.

From 2009 to 2013, an average of 32,100 people died from gun-related causes each year. But not all of these deaths are the result of homicides. > [More than 2,000](http://www.politifact.com/california/statements/2015/dec/17/mike-thompson/data-backs-claim-watch-list-questions-linger/) people on the FBI’s list have legally purchased weapons since 2004, according to a 2015 U.S. Government Accountability Office report. That’s about [91 percent](http://www.politifact.com/florida/statements/2015/dec/29/patrick-murphy/terrorist-watch-list-no-obstacle-buying-guns-rep-m/) of suspected terrorists who attempted to buy guns. (It’s worth noting that a 2009 Justice Department audit found that 35 percent of people on the list shouldn’t be on it.)
> Unlike suspected terrorists, felons are prohibited from purchasing guns but it is [possible online](http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/jan/05/barack-obama/obama-violent-felons-can-buy-guns-online-without-b/). Because private sellers are not required to run background checks, felons are able to purchase guns over the Internet if he orshe is in the same state as the seller.
> **7. The connection between gun laws and crime is still debated.**
> Gun rights advocates argue that more guns in the hand of law-abiding citizens means less crime. That idea can be traced to an influential and controversial study that showed a 25 percent decrease in violent crime and a 178 percent rise in the number of concealed-carry permits from 2007 to 2014. [Correlation, however, doesn’t mean causation](http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/jan/03/dan-patrick/texas-lt-gov-dan-patrick-claims-states-where-peopl/) and many have refuted the study’s findings.
> Similarly, there is research showing that the [more gun laws a state has, the fewer gun deaths there are](http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/oct/06/barack-obama/obama-more-gun-laws-means-fewer-gun-deaths/). But this doesn’t prove a universal cause-and-effect relationship and could just be a correlation. It could be that low numbers of gun owners in a state mean less opposition to gun laws, and the low rate of gun ownership mean less gun violence. Experts say that there needs to be more research on gun violence and its causes.

The AR-15 is NOT an automatic weapon. But it doesn’t matter, because it can still be used in mass shootings to kill people so quickly that it is virtually mpossible for any “concealed carry” fantasy hero to stop this person before dozens of lives are ended. Nor can the concealed carry fantasy hero extract the bullets from the bodies of the fallen with his magical dick substitute.

Weapons used in mass shootings are sold at gun shows and out of the trunks of vehicles and are extremely easy to obtain. If you took a few moments to educated yourself, instead of pissing your pants at the mere thought of sensible gun control, such as the kind that exists in many other developed and civilized countries, leading to an extreme difference in the levels of gun violence and deaths related to guns each year, which is a fucking scientific FACT, perhaps you would understand the difference.

You can whine about “Islamic terrorism” and piss your pants about how scary they are, meanwhile, domestic morons like yourself run around proving that gay people are a threat to the American family by blowing up Target bathrooms and gunning down gay people who are simply living their lives.

I guess we should follow the lead of the OP and suggest that something needs to be done, and the mosques AND churches and other right-wing groups all across the country spreading homophobia need to be shut down by the government, and shame on future president (in his own mind) Trump for not condemning the homophobic nutters in this country and the guns they cling to. Why is he so scared at uttering the words “hatred of gay people”?

By the way, all this posturing about the bodies not even being cold before someone suggests we do something about it politically certainly didn’t stop you from getting political. Nor the legions of right wingers everywhere going “this isn’t the time to do something about gun violence”. Given that shootings happen every day, mass shootings every week practically, obviously that means there’s no time to discuss it. Convenient, maybe, but utterly absurd.

But nobody **is** refusing to acknowledge the radical elements in much of global Islam, or denying that they have been responsible for violence all across the globe.
Your approach of simply ignoring the problem away won’t work.
But nobody **is** taking any approach of “simply ignoring the problem away”.
There is a loud, intolerant minority who makeup the Islamic faith.
Nobody disagrees that there is a loud intolerant minority in the makeup of global Islam these days, nor that it is a very relevant factor in Islamist-extremist terrorism and violence.
If leftists are going to insist on ignoring the problem that is radical Islam, by hijacking the narrative and turning it to guns, the least they can do is educate themselves on the topic. The ignorance spewed by leftists regarding guns is childlike.
But leftists **aren’t** ignoring the problem that is radical Islam. Many gun-rights advocates, however, are vehemently committed to ignoring and denying the problem that is insufficiently regulated access to guns by untrustworthy people.

And here is where your real agenda reveals itself: You want to misrepresent leftists as being “soft” on Islamist-extremist radicalism in order to go on ignoring the problems of guns too easily getting into the wrong hands.

Regulation works!

Regulation doesn’t work!

Yeah, in Philadelphia. Please, eat a bag of dicks you presumptuous moron.

Wait, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said please. You don’t deserve politeness.

So, you won’t need any help telling us what the _A_ in ACP stands for?

Or, was [John Browning](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automatic_Colt_Pistol) an ignorant, pant pissing, leftist?

CMC fnord!

I honestly hope you are right. Let’s split it up and see which side prospers. The red states of America would be like a Christian Afghanistan.
