Hence the little version on the Seine, in the shadow of the Tour Eiffel, I guess. I guess what I’m asking is, what was the occasion that the French were marking? Had they given up wanting to own the “huge tracts of land” by then? If fact, I’m essentially just making conversation in the hope that either I’ll get the chance to say something funny, or someone else will… ---

Allow me to explain. Someone else mentioned the Statue of Liberty (a sarcastic reference regarding American democracy, perhaps…something like that), and I joined in. Then we got onto the Millenium Dome as the English equivalent, then we got onto the fact that the Dome was in a Bond movie - the same movie that featured Sophie Marceau. I simply can’t explain the Oeidipus link. I shall have to let your imagination run wild… 🙂 Anyway, who said I had to have a train of thought? It’ll be much more fun if I just spout random stuff, I reckon… ``` And didn't Nostradamus predict pretty much everything, by writing in lots of different languages, allow all those crazy translation, and talking complete bollocks?
