I can think of one album, “Cherry People,” by, of course The Cherry People. One hit (“And Suddenly”) and the sole album.
From this site.
There MAY have been another album planned by Heritage, but looks like it got cancelled:

Big Pig’s only album, BONK
“I can’t break away!”
Hummm…I posted to this thread earlier today but it’s not here now. I’ll try again.
Kinka Usher directed one file; Mystery Men in 1999. It’s his only directorial credit and almost his only credit period. But he did a very nice job; he worked with an eclectic cast, had a nice sense of comedic timing, great visual style (his work reminded me of Terry Gilliam’s), good control of camera movement.
Actualy, he wrote the original novel, then co-wrote the play based on it–so that makes one and a half
Beethoven composed only one opera, Fidelio, though he did compose a few different overtures for it.
H.F. Saint’s “Memoirs of an Invisible Man.” Great book, and the other thing he wrote.
Of course, Punky Meadows went on to modest fame as guitarist for Angel. He now owns and operates a tanning salon in northern Virginia.
I’d have to say David And David, Welcome to the Boomtown. I don’t know if the title track charted in the top 40, no other singles were released.
David Baerwald and David Ricketts. Baerwald released some solo stuff, but after this album they never recorded together again.
Beautiful, dark, and sad.
Great Rainy Day record.
Walter M. Miller Jr. wrote A Canticle for Leibowitz, a wonderful book, and the only book he had published… in his lifetime.
Relatively recently, the sequel was published posthumanously, so maybe he doesn’t count.
There’s a book I like called Le Grand Meaulnes by Alain-Fournier. He never got a chance to write another, because he was killed in the opening days of World War I. There are a couple of other writers with a similar story, Wilfred Owen being one.
Night of the Hunter - The only film directed by verteran character actor Charles Laughton. Upon it’s initial release, “Hunter” received lukewarm reviews & modest box-office sales. The insecure Laughton was so distrought over what he perceived as a flop that he never directed another film. Ironically, “Hunter” is now considered one of the best thrillers ever to come out of Hollywood.
Bjork has publically stated she will never again appear in a movie, even though she performed brilliantly in Dancer in the Dark.
Charlie from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. That’s his only movie right? He’s quite good.
And ZebraShaSha, it’s a little early to call Postal Service out.
And what a great album it is too, one of my all-time favourites. I had no idea Big Pig were even known outside of Australia - but they did have a second album, You Lucky People, which has what has to be one of the worst album covers in history. It’s the only time I’ve ever gone to purchase an album and put it back on the shelf because I couldn’t stand to look at the cover. And this is coming from someone who had pictures of Big Pig plastered across all his folders and workbooks in high school. Bizarre.
I already mentioned that, but as I also noted, he directed one other film, according to IMDB.
has U.N.K.L.E ever released a follow up album. I dont know if that coutns because it was DJs side project, but it was great.
I was going to say John Kennedy Toole and Mary Shelly but I realized that both were wrong…so I have nothing.
Technically correct. But as most, if not all of the members went on to make other albums, I don’t think we should count those.
They made more than one album.
Actually, if you discount albums where the musicians made other stuff afterwards, I think it’s quite difficult to name any “only albums”. I can only think of never mind the bollocks. And the song “stutter rap”.
