I’ve always liked Ellen Barkin as an actor, and i do find her attractive, but that lop-sided smile and slightly cross-eyed look she has do, in my opinion, make her somewhat unconventional. They don’t come across so well in that picture, i don’t think, but are much more obvious when you see her moving on screen. ---

What about [Yeardley Smith](http://www.google.com/images?num=100&hl=en&q=yeardley+smith). Her eyes are very close together, in an Alfred E Neuman kind of way, and she has a unique voice, famously used to great effect of course, but when she was on _Herman’s Head_ I found her very appealing. ---

I love her, no doubt. But I think she’s conventionally unattractive. I’d do her 'cuz she’s famous, though. ---

My reference is dated (as is just about everything about me), but I’d nominate [Jenny Agutter](http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3613759488/nm0000256). There’s something about her face that just isn’t right, but the overall effect is very attractive. [Kate Micucci](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/photos/stylus/117871-micucci_kate_341x182.jpg), of Garfunkel & Oates (as well as _Scrubs_ and a number of commercials). Finding a pic that was neither unflattering nor stylized in such a way that minimized her “quirky” look was kinda tough. YouTubing some G & O videos is probably your best bet (for a few reasons). ETA: Oh, and I second the idea that some folks maybe have a weird idea of what’s conventionally attractive. Even someone like Allyson Hannigan, who isn’t exactly “beautiful,” is undeniably very “cute” — i.e., attractive. ---
