# Not for the squeamish: decapitated head awareness?

I just finished reading the interesting if unfortunately titled [The Executioner Always Chops Twice: Ghastly Blunders on the Scaffold](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0312325630/qid=1098209293/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-5001462-3033402?v=glance&s=books), and a good many ax-men noted their clients’ eyes blinking and mouths moving after being removed from their nether regions. Some of the more susceptible writers assumed the head was praying or looking around to see if he could see his house from here, but I assume it was just involuntary muscular/nerve contractions.

:smack: I forgot some important details. From what I remember, the film would had to have been from the late 60’s or early 70’s. I have no idea if it was a made-for-TV or studio gig though.

What I’m curious about is what the body is doing this whole time the person’s head is blinking/twitching. Chickens run around with their head cut off, presumably due to involuntary muscle reactions. Would a human body thrash around as well? Because this would be rather morbid to witness.

Would it be considered necrophilia if someone had sex with someone who was decapitated part of the way into the act, in an effort to get a greater sensation out of their possible death throes? 😕
