Just an amusing anecdote to further alienate: A suburb of our town hosted a beheader recently. Cops love it if you come up to their dogs and talk to them in baby talk. “Ooh, who’s the widdle tough guy? Aren’t you the scariest doggie ever,” sort of things. Try this at home! ---

I am reminded of Tom T Hall’s song, ‘Old dogs and children and watermelon wine,’ No matter how low my world gets, I have a shitty little 6 pound bag of fur that loves me. I love squirrels and raccoons, but when it all goes to shit, my little bag of fur still jumps in my lap like I am Superman. ---
