I just noticed today that there are no more Google ads at the bottoms of the threads. Is that a new bonus for us Charter Members? (I recall that when the ads started there was talk that they might be blocked for those of us who had already paid by subscribing, but that there was no way to do it.) ---

There are Goodle ads at the bottom of thread on my browser. I don’t notice them at all, but now that I have looked - they’re still there. ---

I don’t see the ads, and I have no ad blockers at all, no special plug-ins, and am not coming through any sort of protected connection which would strip them. I don’t think I’ve seen them for a while, but I just never really noticed until this thread. I see innumerable ads on other sites, so I have no idea what the deal is. ---

I’ve got FireFox with Adblock active. There’s a box at the bottom headed \*\*Advertisements \*\*but it’s empty, the ads themselves are hidden. Do you see the same thing? Or is the box missing altogether? I’m guessing that you have some sort of ad blocking software active somewhere on your computer. ---

[/QUOTE] I used to have FireFox, but not any more (long story - perhaps for another thread). Despite this, I’m seeing just what you’re seeing. If I do have some sort of ad blocking software active on my computer, it’s news to me. Later on I’ll go on the **Fabulous Forums of Fathom** to see if their ads are visible, or not. Or is there some other way to test this? By the way, I’m now using the IE browser that came installed on my eMac. And, no - I haven’t yet updated my OSX. ---

I’m using Safari on Mac OS-X 10.4.9 and I see an ad allowing you to ship three pounds of fine Swiss chocolates anywhere in the world for eight dollars and seventy-four cents. Coincidence? I think not. 😛 ( Yes, I see Ads ) Cartooniverse ---

I do have AdBlock for Firefox installed (I forgot about that initially) and I’m not sure, but I think my firewall or antivirus programs might actually have some kind of ad-blocking benefits as well. Whatever the reason, I’m glad it works. 😃
