# "Not since Hitler has a person embodied all the signs of the Antichrist like Donald Trump", any actual truth to this?

I tried to see if this topic was made before and surprised I couldn’t find one (though I only searched topic titles).
I’ve seen many MANY people opine that Trump fits “Almost all the classic signs of the Antichrist” however what research I’ve done, almost none of the signs of the Antichrist really fit. However I don’t even know what the signs of the Christian Biblical Antichrist actually are, I’m just going off what Google tells me are the signs.
So for both Hitler and Trump, do they actually have the “real” signs of the Antichrist and not just people shouting into the void because they also don’t know what the actual signs of the Antichrist are?

I am old enough to remember people saying Jimmy Carter was the Antichrist. End Time Truths might someday come true, but I do not put much stock in it.

There’s not really a canonical list of “signs of the Antichrist.” Actual scripture is pretty thin on the topic.
Different sects at different times have described the Antichrist as a combination of whatever social trends they feared would lead people away from Christ.
I would venture to say that if you’re listening to people drawing comparisons to Hitler, you’re probably talking about people drawing their definitions from 20th-century theological thinkers. These folks were most terrified of ecumenism, of socialism, anything that would compete with the church to satisfy people’s social needs, spiritual needs, and sense of meaning or belonging.

If you were thinking of pulling a canonical example, and showing it to Christians and saying “look, Donald Trump is actually the guy you said were afraid of,” that’s not happening. It’s only for Christians to decide, and It is always who they feel threatens to divide and weaken the church _right now_. Some of the traits are stable because mass deceivers tend to operate in the same ways, but mostly it’s a response to wherever society seems to be headed at any given moment.
The last time I recall seeing any amount of serious Antichrist talk was in reference to Obama’s election. Haven’t heard much since then, except for a few liberals believing that all the anti-Obama Antichrist stuff ought to be transferrable to Trump (under the naive assumption that any of it was ever soundly reasoned or sincerely held).

The antichrist seems to be more of a Christ denier scripturally that will be around at that time which could fit the rise of modern day atheism, though that’s just a more benign guess of what that could be. A case could be made that there is ‘the’ antichrist’ and many ‘sub’ antichrists. Really the term itself in isolation of the rest of the scriptures don’t say much about who (s)he/ they will be but other terms for a satanic ruling figure do fit Trump.
I have noticed that Trump does somewhat fit what I would call as a head of one of the beast of Revelation pretty well with people worshiping him, even making a golden stature of him, as well as what Daniel called the abomination that causes desolation standing where he does not belong. During the end times Jesus warns the elect that they may be deceived, the religious right has in many cases made Trump out to be such a ‘holy’ figure. Also Jesus identified children of the devil as lying as their natural speech. Trump seems also to fit someone who is above the laws of this world though that is still to be seen, but at least a very powerful man that seems ‘superhuman’ and relates to what is understood to be the fallen angels in Gen 6 that were stated to come back after the flood. We would have many of such people here todays such as Musk to name another.
I have entertained that the beast of revelation has it’s heads throughout time and not all at once, so Hitler could be one such head, Trump another, and there are others, with the end times also spread throughout time.

I have observed that he has all the classic traits of a brutal totalitarian ruler; malignant narcissism, a complete lack of empathy towards any other human beings, and absolutely no moral compass whatsoever. I think he embodies all the qualities of what is described as “The Anti-Christ”, but numerous others of his ilk have also embodied those qualities as well.

I don’t believe in christ or the antichrist, but my understanding that some of the major traits of the antichrist would be
- opposed everything christ stood for (compassion, empathy, selflessness)
- worshipped by immoral christians who had lost their moral compass
- was the leader of a powerful nation
- powerful orator
Those descriptions fit Trump extremely well. Trump basically embodies the 7 deadly sins, christians with bad morals worship him and follow him as a cult leader, he was a powerful leader.
My only real complaint is I thought the anti-christ would be attractive and charming. Trump is neither. Everyone who isn’t in his cult sees through him pretty easily.

Its my understanding the antichrist must be Jewish, so they will accept him as their messiah. I could be wrong.

The problem with articles like this is that they are COMPLETELY different from any other “Signs of the Antichrist” articles made before Trump’s rise to power which seems to heavily imply this is just cherry picking or making stuff up. Or that the actual signs of the Antichrist are just so vague they could apply to anyone.
