I was a Biden fan and still want to be but the vids my brother just showed me do look pretty bad. I’m on my tablet right now so it’s a chore to link but If you get on YouTube and search “Joe Biden creepy” you will find several compilations. I’m not prepared to say he’s being sexual but certainly overly familiar with young girls and women. I was aware that he was known as a touchy-freely type and there was a kerfluffle when as VP, he had (an adult) biker chick sit on his lap. The videos I saw show him, at the least, making some young girls very uncomfortable. Like I said, I thought pretty highly of him, hating to see some big ol’ feet of clay. What do I need to know? What we know of Joe is that he is very touchy. Touchy with everyone of any age or gender. He also acts in ways that would get most people reprimanded in the workplace. That said, no one has ever accused him of anything criminal. He’s touchy and creepy, but those aren’t crimes. In a #MeToo era, he needs to dial it back, but the dude is 75, so I doubt he’ll change. ---

Some people need to seriously recalibrate their definition of “creepy.” I’ve seen far too many people, including the OP, using it to mean “anything I don’t like.” ---

I’m sorry, if I find it creepy, I find it creepy. No one can tell me how to feel about touching and my personal space. I wouldn’t stand anywhere near Mr. Biden. He is WAY over my limit and boundaries. Some people are ok with that, not me. Not to say he is being sexual at all. Just way too touchy. ETA that head touching thing is plain weird. ---

Oh yeah, _those_ videos aren’t manipulative (or manipulated) at _all_! I totally believe everything Alt.Right videos on Youtube show, preferably with scary music and biased captions. My verdict, since we’re each allowed to have one: Not creepy. Biden’s a guy comfortable being demonstrative/affectionate in what looks to me to be an entirely non-sexual way with men or women. And the idea that he’s creepier than Trump is just _hilarious_. Trump’s entire being exudes creepiness, and always has. I feel the need for a Silkwood shower every time I watch him near women. ---

YMMV, but to me that’s far, far creepier than being a hugger. Let us know if someone makes an actual credible allegation against Biden. If one of these people in the video comes forward and says that they were groped, I might feel quite differently. ---

Tr\*\*\* is the only President or VP that has set off my alarm bells. In retrospect, Reagan is the second creepiest President/VP in my lifetime, but that is more because he seems like a well-polished glib automaton than an actual evil predator. ---

One of those two bragged on the Howard Stern Show about going into the contestants’ dressing rooms for his beauty pageant. Just to check things out. This includes the Miss Teen USA pageant which has contestants as young as 16. (There are multiple eyewitnesses to this as well.) If that is not creepy (as well as a jailable offense), I don’t know what your standards are and really don’t want to find out. ---

It’s really comparing apples to oranges. Trump verges on criminal behaviour. Biden is like my Uncle Pete. Can’t keep his hands to himself. I don’t like Uncle Pete grabbing at me and I wouldnt like Biden doing it. I think he’s probably a good guy though. ---

Biden comes from an entirely different generation. A lot of people back then thought nothing of physical contact. Hugs, embraces, arms across the shoulder. It wasn’t sexual. It was a way for people to connect. A closeness that is hard to even explain to today’s sterile _don’t touch me_ culture. These days even a grandmother can’t give out hugs without people rolling their eyes. It’s our loss and it diminishes our humanity and empathy for each other. ---

Imagine a regular old guy doing that or worse, a Republican, it’s creepy and I wouldn’t want him near my kids. Maybe it’s a British thing but older generations seem far less comfortable with touching than younger to me. ---

I as an adult male I would never make contact like that with a youngster of either gender. Creepy,… I don’t know. I don’t personally know Biden so can’t guess what he’s thinking. Just on looks alone it would be a convenient cudgel to beat Joe with were he to run for President in 2020. I think he’s a good man whose consistently worked for progressive ideals. As others have pointed out he’s not (to my knowledge) been accused of anything untoward. I want to think the best of him. ---

Biden is 75 (20 November 1942) Trump is 72 (14 June 1946) Creepy is creepy, they both come from the same generation, I respectfully disagree, nothing that Biden does appears to be ‘normal’ physical contact, it may not rise to the degree of Trump’s disgusting potentially criminal statements, but Biden is just absolutely cringe-worthy, you can’t judge by his actions but by the reactions of the recipients… ---

No. No. Old [American] men do not and did not hug and embrace other men as a way to connect. Joe Biden didn’t give other old men shoulder rubs. Men do it and have done it to women because they view women differently than men - from the extreme of women being objects of sexual conquest, to women being objects, to simply women being “women” and not peers. Nobody rolls eyes at grandmothers giving hugs. Today’s culture isn’t sterile. Today’s culture is people who are finally willing and able to speak up and say “hey, I don’t like that. Nobody likes that. We’ve never liked that. Don’t do it anymore.” I love Joe Biden as a politician but I do find him to be too handsy and his actions towards women make me uncomfortable. I’m sure his intentions are friendly and pure but that doesn’t make it right, or something to emulate, or something to wistfully wish happened more.
