Like I said, no condemnation of the cop, just that the last kick backwards was a wee bit harsh on the little guy, though obviously no harm was done. But I think that he could have had such a great time with a straight face,(which he obviously did) writing a ticket with a kitty perched on your head. Makes for a fabulous story to tell for all parties concerned. And I imagine the judge would get a helluva a laugh in court as well. That kitty is begging for his own LOLcat picture. I saw the video on the BBC News website and immediately thought, “There will be a Dope thread on this by the time I get home.” I too thought the cop was being pretty patient, considering the cat not only climbed on his head but climbed out on his arms like they were tree limbs. Once it nearly climbed onto on the clipboard. No kitty, YOU don’t need to sign the ticket! You don’t need to use the radio or check that the gun is loaded, either! Stop helping! Semi-serious question: Does anyone know the gender of the cat? An ex-housemate of mine had a cat that was extremely friendly whenever she was in heat; she’d not only climb on you but try to dry-hump various parts of your body (house-reared since kittenhood, she’d evidently “imprinted” on humans, and since there are no sex therapists for cats…) When she wasn’t in heat, she hated every human being on earth except her owner. Psycho kitty, qu’est que cest… ---
