# Not that anyone maybe missed me, but hey, I'm back!

Well, here I am again, having taken an unexpected several-month hiatus from the SDMB. I don’t know exactly why; sort of a combination of being busy chasing after Whatsit Jr., cancelling our high-speed Internet access, and a variety of other things. Anyway, here’s a quick run-down of the Life of the Whatsits since I was last actively posting here:

- Whatsit Jr. is now (finally) walking, and wreaking havoc wherever he goes.

- I have been diagnosed with full-blown Type 2 diabetes, although said diagnosis was a matter of me fighting with my doctors and actually firing two of them before finally finding one who took me seriously and didn’t just tell me, “Oh, I see WAY worse numbers than yours; go home and eat whatever you want.” But this is a separate rant.

- I have gone back to work part time and Whatsit Jr. is totally digging his new day care.

- A drunken man in a clown costume broke into our apartment last Halloween, thereby scaring the crap out of all the Whatsits and causing me to habitually lock the front door behind me whenever I come home now. (I actually may have posted about this when it happened, but if you have a good drunken clown story, it never hurts to repeat it as often as possible.)

- MrWhatsit’s hair is still long, gorgeous, and rock star-like.

OK, I think I’m out of interesting news to share. So… yeah! I’m happy to be back!
