# Not that we've had a lot of rain these past weeks, but...

…we looked out the den window yesterday afternoon, and there on the ground were a pair of mallards - a male with his bright green neck and his less colorfully feathered mate. They both looked up nonchalantly, then went back to idly gnoshing on the grass.

The feeders attract a varied assortment of birds, but this is the very first time in our 30 years here in CT that a couple of ducks came calling.
