I’ve put this in the Pit rather than Mindless-Pointless because I thought it would be more fun and more spicy. I’ve no idea how it will work, so the idea is that there’s absolutely no flirting in this thread. Anyone so much as writes as “So how YOU doin’?” and I’ll ask the mods to shut it down. I’m hemming and hawing about whether to say no smilies too, because these damn idiotic pestilences always seem to occur in large numbers in flrting threads. So, that’s what this thread is _not_ about. What _will_ it be about, then? Okay, I’ve had an idea. How about we write something that annoys or irritates us about another poster, but - and here’s the cunning part - without mentioning the poster’s name. Just hinting at it. Much more cowardly. Just like Live Journal. (I’m due another mention there, anyway. Did I mention I’ve bookmarked it now?) So, I’ll be back in a minute to kick this thing off. ---

Yes, _do_ let’s all slag each other off anonymously. It’ll be _so_ much more convenient than letting a bunch of slithering half-wits do it for us on another board. This has to be the stupidest OP I have ever read here, **roger** , and that’s saying something considering **Kel Varnsen** used to post here. You’re a dolt if this is your idea of amusement, and a jackass if this is your idea of stirring up trouble. ---

It’s okay, **roge**. Don’t feel bad that your thread sucked. I started a lameass tread tonight myself, in this very forum. It was about Chris Matthews (Hardball), but it was lame and I should have put it in Cafe Society. But, here’s an anonymous pitting for ya just so’s the thread isn’t a total loss: I pit a certain poster who has been known to inquire about a certain book as a possible birthday gift from his wife but then gave no indication whether he did indeed get the book for his birthday or if his birthday had even occurred yet. ---

On the other hand, the same rumor mill is rife with reports that said anonymous poster couldn’t get hold of a copy of the scribblings of an inconsequential Dutch artist, who was said to be a little hard of hearing in later life (erroneously), for love nor money. Even via Amazon. He (or is it she) will try again in due course. Thank you for your concern, and since this _is_ the Pit, I thought your latest artistic effort stank more than an indolent skunk who couldn’t get a date even though he was the alpha male in his group on account of the uber-rankness of his odor. ---
