Well, FCM, I did take a nap and apparently missed the rain that came down while I was out, no tunder-n-litening, but did give the grass a good soaking. Checked in for my flight and cleaned out my file cabinet (had records back to 1994), with about 4’ of files to browse through either tonight or Sunday. Just finished paying the bills for May, should be all caught up and have money in the bank (just hope that the retirement checks start in June as I planned). Finish up here and then going out to grab some sustinence. ---

\*\*MetalMouse \*\*- my retirement pay started right on time. Fixing one of their goofs is now approaching a year-long effort, but the money always appears magically on the last work day of the month. Ribs are out of the smoker and cooling before I put them in the fridge. The innards for the deviled eggs have been mixed up - I’ll build the eggs tomorrow. I think I’m done for the evening - except for emptying the dishwasher. I should sleep like the dead tonight! ---

Sah-son finished mowing the back yard right before the rain started. Or actually he weed-whacked it, he says it’s easier that way. I don’t care, as long as he tames the jungle. I made hamburgers for us, I still have two left that I can heat up later or save for Sunday. ---

In more ways than one. Compared to say Old Country Buffet the food was/is far better and the range of offerings quite nice. We had a better place ages and ages ago (the name escapes me but I want to say it was something like P.J.'s) that had fantastic food and a unique way of getting it to you; you stood in one place and the choices moved past you on a sort of turn-table or belt depending on what station you were at. ---

I’ve been to Golden Corral a few times, there is one in the armpit, so you can go to the armpit in the armpit. I wasn’t impressed with the food. I’d rather go to the Chinese Buffet. Up here we have Ryans, much better food. I’m up too early. My leg aches and woke me up, then my bladder made sure I’d wake all the way up. Not looking forward to the trip to the armpit today. I hope everybody has fun at the party. I’m very tempted to take up drinking. ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 84 and rainy which I do not believe. Plans for the day are to accomplish mowage of both yahds this mornin’ and nuttin’ beyond that. I do have a hunk o’ roast beast I shall put in the slow cooker in a lititle while. It shall be for dindin tonight and N.O.L. tomorrow. Gotta figure sides. One shall be smashed N.O.T. cause I want some. Maybe some peas and squishes. We shall see. OK, that’s all I got. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. After that, well, onward into the day. Y’all partiers have fun today! Happy Sattidy! ---

Of course, I’m up way too early. I woke at 4 and couldn’t fall back to sleep. I did watch an episode of F-Troop with Harvey Korman as a Prussian Colonel or General or something. Silly show - I love it! But now I’m semi-functional. Higgs has been fed, \*\*FCD \*\*and I are caffeinating, and I just finished making tea, meaning I heated water and dumped it over big tea bags so it can steep before I dump it into a pitcher for later today. The rain has begun. Shortly, I’ll go get ice, grab some breakfast sammiches, and the last-minute round of chores will begin. \*\*sari \*\*- I wonder if it’s the same Ryan’s chain we used to patronize in FL - I really liked that place. We’ve got a relatively new Golden Corral nearby, and we’ve gone once for breakfast. meh. The Chinese buffet here is equally meh. And, really, when I go out for a meal, I’d rather someone bring it to me. Well, can’t sit here all day. Stuff to do, vacuums to run, veggies to cut up and arrange. Remind me why I want a house full of tacky, noisy people?? ---
