Well, this is going to be a day. I woke at 4 - at least Mel got me an extra hour over the last 2 nights. While I was in the shower, Taz peed on **FCD** ’s side of the bed, but that was sorta my fault - I forgot to clean the cat box yesterday. Still, damned cat!!! Once I was dressed, I had to strip the bed and haul the linens, blanket, and comforter downstairs. I started one load, and when I come home to take \*\*FCD \*\*for his MRI, I’ll put that load in the dryer and start another in the washer. With luck, I’ll get the comforter washed tonight, and I’ll spread it on the guest bed with the ceiling fan going to dry it, because it’s too bulky for the dryer and too rainy for the lines. Once I got that washer going, I fed the dog and emptied the dishwasher, then ran to WaWa to get \*\*FCD \*\*a fountain soda, and I grabbed a breakfast sammich for myself. I brought his walker out, gave Higgs her morning treat, and said goodbye to my inlaws before coming to the office. On the way, I noticed that the nosepiece pad on the right side of my glasses is missing. When I get home, I’ll need to get my spare specs, and on our way back from the hospital, I’ll stop at the eye doctor and see if they can replace the pad. Always something!! Inlaws should be on the road by now - they’re heading to Duke for FIL’s appointment, then west to Asheville for the night, then to Gatlinburg and eventually Indianapolis, where all their remaining sibs live. They’ll hang around there for a while and return to FL on May 30th. I hope. I really do worry about them on the road. Not only reaction time behind the wheel, but they both seem to be easily befuddled these days. They missed the turn when coming to our place and just kept driving - wound up 25 miles out of their way before they called. That scares me. But other than that, and the impending rain, and the temps remaining in the 50s today, it’s a great day… yeah, other than that. 😛 Happy Tuesday. ---

major blurf - killer headache. not sure if it’s a pre-storm sinus headache, or an all-I-had-to-eat-in-the-last-48-hours-was-3-small-pancakes-one-gorgeous-plum-and-a-Boost-shake headache. I go through these spurts wherein even nuking a frozen meal is too much work. **Happy Belated Sah-Son Day!!! Happy Belated K-Dad Day!!!** ---

9PM MRI appointment?? Dang! At St. Scary’s? We’re going to Calvert Memorial - that’s where my sweetie’s surgeon works. It’s a lot farther, but neither of us were impressed with the orthopedists in this county. I wish we were closer to Baltimore - we really liked that surgeon, but it’s over 2 hours one way, and that’s a long drive when you’re in agony. ---

Yeah, St. Scary’s. Unfortunately, they are part of the same corporation as Georgetown, so St. Scary’s gets business from me because it makes the bureaucracy easier to handle. ---

{{ **Bobbbio** }}. Hope the MRI is not to stressful and produces good news. Velvetta was my go-to food on Meatless Firdays as a youth (raised Cat-Lick), since I didn’t like fish. Haven’t had it for over 40 years now. Seems I’ve settled into a ‘go to bed about 11, wake at 0630’ routine, which is somewhat different than my 9pm-0500 work schedule. Didn’t do much yesterday but did buy 4 file containers that I can archive some of my folders in the back room and start clearing out the mess that is my computer room. Holding out to mow the yard on Wednesday, but rain is in the forecast, so we’ll see if I chicken out and do the cutting today. Also need to continue to do some house-cleaning, the kitchen cabinets need some elbow grease applied. But spider solitarie is much more interesting… ---

I hope I can ride JohnDeere around on Firday, since the whole weekend is supposed to be rainy. I want to be sure the area where I’m telling people to park isn’t overgrown. Bad enough it’ll be wet on Sat most likely. Stoopit weather. Waiting for the boss to give me some work. He knows I’m leaving early and he knows I have nothing to do. I’m wishing now I’d been hired my the office where \*\*FCD \*\*works. They’d keep me busy for certain… ---

I love Velveeta, especially Velveeta slices. The best grilled cheese sammiches are made with Velveeta. Velveeta is also necessary for pigs in a blanket (my family’s new Christmas dinner). But what do I know, I also like brussel sprouts. And cant-elope if it’s veryvery ripe. It is borderline rainy today so I have a borderline migraine. Stoopid headaches. ---

She wasn’t happy where she was, but she loves my folks. She is the smartest thing, although my folks don’t do too much with training her. I used to go over and teach her new tricks all the time. She and their Siamese cat have a deal where the cat knocks containers off the kitchen counter, Daisy opens them, and they both share the treats. 😃 **Mooomm** Sounds like you’ve got a lot going on! Hope the MRI sheds some light on things. I used to carry a little eye glass repair kit in my purse that had some screws and extra pads. Might be a good thing for you to look into, if this happens much? I know you what mean about the folks getting fuzzy. Are you comfortable discussing this with them? If they get tested for memory issues now, and there are any, there are things that can be done to help. On the other hand, after a trip, when tired, anyone might miss an exit and get turned around. Funny how things work out! 😃 Today I am hanging some awnings over the sliding glass doors on the sunny side of the house, which should really help. When the sun is hitting those in the afternoon, you can feel the heat coming off them. Then, this afternoon, I’m off to the dentist. I can officially confirm that we’re moving back to Oregon. I’ve asked the property manager to notify our tenants. Now I’ve got to start figuring out all the other things I need to do to sell the house here. :eek: 😃 ---

Happy Toosday! It’s another grey, rainy, dreary day. We’re back from picking up groceries. Small order this week so everything fit in the freezer. I’ll be going to the armpit on Saturday for the bd get together. I don’t want to go. I never want to go to the armpit. My temper is already getting short. Sah-son needs to get the rest of his stuff out of there. Of course if it is raining we won’t be able to bring a lot with us. I could try the clothespin thing **FCM** , it’s got to be better than running to the PO. Percy Cat let me pet him for quite a bit yesterday. He’s closing his eyes with me, but he still gets nervous if I move. Good luck with the MRI **BBBobbio** I didn’t get to the linen closet yesterday, got sidetracked cleaning out my closet. How could I have so much in there when I’ve only been here a year and a half? I have a box full of clothes to donate. What I really need are some plain ol’ T-shirts. Nothing fancy, and I have way to many nice shirts. I don’t go enough places to have that many nice shirts. ---

There’s a nurse out there that owes us a Saturday. Everything was going along fine, when out of the blue, I get a call from a half-panicked pharmacist halfway across the country saying that DH’s test results were hypercritical and that I needed to get him to the ER immediately, and if he has fever, shortness of breath or unconsciousness, to call 911. :eek: I was among the onions and potatos at the grocery store at the moment. “Why?” I asked. His hemoglobin was at 2.5, which for Jehova’s Witnesses\*, would mean a roughly 60-70% chance of getting dead. For anyone, it’s pretty much a 100% chance of being pale as a ghost and unconscious. More calls from local doctors and calls to home ensue. I head home with the groceries, where DH says he needs lunch before going anywhere. We were both running with the assumption that the lab was in error. So off to the ER to satisfy the unseen docs and sure enough, three hours later, we find he’s at 8.5, which for him is a good robust level. After replaying the memories of watching the home nurse draw labs the day before, I realized what happened. The goof sent “waste” blood to the lab - it was probably half heparin and half blood as they drew from the PICC line that I’d flushed and hep-locked the day before. This is the second screwup by that company’s nurses, but we’re stuck with the company as they’re the only one the drug’s maker works with. ☹ - Due to their refusal to accept blood, JWs are a handy reference group for morbidity and mortality analysis in conditions that are typically managed with blood transfusions. ---

Howdy Y’all! Home from irk. Well, home from the doc. I had an appointment at two for routine stuff and got in and out relatively quick. Dindin shall be HH lasagna (don’t judge!), green sallit, and garlic bread. Takes almost no time to put together and da bear is just not in cook mode today. **BBBobbio** hope the MRI shows everything’s OK. I hate MRIs. Gives me the creeps every time. **gotti** I’m with on **flytrap** on this. How do they manage to maintain licenses? **Peaches** sump’n ain’t right with the boy.
