My new shoes arrived!! One pair looks like regular sneakers, but without laces - they’re pull-on. The other pair is gray and came with 2 pairs of laces - one white and one gray. Fancy! 😃 So I can retire my Skechers that are falling apart. Yay! Leftover soup for supper. Boring but easy. ---

I just found out that \*someone \*in this household went to his office for a meeting today. Then to his doctor’s office to drop off the CD of the MRI. And now he’s saying how sore he is. _ **DUH!!!** _ ---

Among other work, they’re looking to upgrade a project that I implemented. IF I end up going back, I could be productive Day 1 since no one knows that as well as I did. ---

And they even remember you did it? 😃 I’ve been in the situation of needing to get authorization for what processes to use from someone whose job was to say No, and who thought some of the processes were new, and I pointed him to where the Reference Manual explained those processes and had them as approved, and he was sooooo happy that we didn’t need to ask for a new process. And every single page in the Reference Manual had my name on it, right after the word “Author”, but the guy whose job was to say No never noticed. We schmott. ---

Oh, he’d already said No. Once they’ve said No at least once, they are allowed to use other words. Speaking of words, heard this morning on the radio: “prepaid ladies”. It sounds so… corporate! Or, as one of the show’s hosts said “when she’s running out of prepay there is a beep and if you don’t reload, she stops.” ---

TGIF!! I got here early and I’m planning to leave early to shop for the party. I’m going to smoke the ribs today because it’s supposed to pour all day tomorrow and I don’t want to deal with it then. I’ll reheat them in the oven - we did that on Christmas and they were just as yum! I’ve got a cake to bake and eggs to devil and veggies to slice. I’m going to go get some local strawberries, and I’ve got to go to the eye dr’s office to get the nose piece on my glasses replaced. I’m wearing my spare specs and I don’t like them. ugh. \*\*FCD \*\*seriously overdid it yesterday and I threatened him to just sit and chill today. He was going to mow the grass. Yeah, right. I don’t think so. If he has to do something, I’ll let him slice strawberries for me - I’m thinking I’ll make jam on Sunday. Meanwhile, I just need to survive here till 9:30. Happy Firday!! ---

Happy Firday! Not so happy, my computer is behaving like an ass. It’s supposed to be sunny today, with more springlike temps, only to drop back into the 50’s tomorrow. The weather is behaving like an ass as well. Thus starts which my grumpy day. Sometime today I have to go out and clean up the yard trimmings off the porch. Sah-son needs to week whack the front yard and mow the back. ---

Up early so I can get up Sattiday to go to FCM’s party and maybe stay awake. According to the weather map, all the rain that was suppossed yo arrive today is going either North or South of us, leaving N. Alabama mostly dry (things have been known to change). Otherwise a fairly lazy day. I can handle that, ---
