Last week our government sent up [this](http://www.businessinsider.com/nrol-39-logo-nothing-beyond-our-reach-2013-12) satellite. Whatever one might think of our nation’s intelligence gathering, it boggles the mind that ANYONE could have thought this logo/motto were anything other than a bad idea! ---

It’s a joke, right? It’s godda be a joke. Funny if it is, but \*hilarious \*if it isn’t. In either case, that logo is _sweet!_ They could make a fortune in T-shirt sales with that thing. ---

Whoever designed that mission logo must really LOVE their CRAFT. You often see that sort of aggressive, even threatening imagery in military and paramilitary semiotics, especially the work of ELDER statesmen in the airplane nose art subcategory, who are looked up to as GODS by today’s artists. It is believed to engender courage in the young people who will have to enter the MADNESS of battle and risk DEATH under the logo or patch in question. ---
