I think that _They Live_ (1988), which like _Dark Star_ was directed by John Carpenter, is also a great film. Recently an analysis by the novelist Jonathan Lethem of _They Live_ has been published. He thinks it as great as I do. So now when (as often happens) I tell people that _They Live_ is a great film and they tell me that I’m crazy, at least I’ll know that I’m not the only crazy one. ---

You’re not crazy. _They Live_ is one of the best SF films of the 1980s, and it has the best fight scene ever filmed. Also, :smack: (me) and thanx to **Ellis Dee** for bringing one of the best SF films of all time, and the best time travel movie of all time to the discussion: _Primer_. ETA: I’m not overly fond of the original (it’s slooooooooow) but I really really like watching the remake of _Solaris_.
