# Now it's Egypt turn to be the worst human rights abuser?

In case the eventual quashing down of the Arab Spring wasn’t enough, Egypt is now sentencing [75 people to death](https://www.haaretz.com/middle-east-news/egypt/egypt-sentences-75-people-to-death-jails-hundreds-over-2013-protests-1.6464536) on trumped-up charges over a 2013 demonstration. Pretty cut and dry here, with not a whole lotta nuance, but still sure-as-shit deserved the pitting.
