There were some good comments about the poll in that thread. My favourite was the one suggesting that Elmo should be polling Tesla investors instead of his sycophantic freak fans. Indeed, the audience for this poll are those following Elmo on Twitter. Those opposed to Elmo’s meddling in Twitter are (mostly) either not following him or have left or been banned from Twitter. Another good observation is the bleeding obvious fact that this poll will make not the slightest difference in what Elmo does. One comment made the prediction that the following will happen: If the vote is “yes”, Elmo will leave in a few months after appointing a duly sycophantic flunky as CEO. If the vote is “no”, Elmo will leave in a few months after appointing a duly sycophantic flunky as CEO. It’s another stupid stunt by a pathologically insecure psychopath. ---

Well, from an airline’s POV, a plane sitting on the ground instead of generating revenue is indeed a big expense. The economics may be quite different for a private jet since it doesn’t generate revenue and the operating costs are quite substantial. The figures below are the fixed and variable costs for a Gulfstream 650, the variable costs based on 400 hours per year. It does not include the capital cost for the airplane itself (around $70 million). So, yeah, you’re paying about $1.4 million per year for an airplane just sitting on the ground, PLUS potentially huge leasing costs for the plane itself, or lost opportunity costs from the $70 mil you’ve sunk into it. Remember the “crazy stalker” that Elmo claimed tracked him via elonjet?
