Mankind has a long history of worshipping false idols in the false belief that they will be rewarded for their devotion. There’s not much difference between them and any other religion. This is called [Poe’s Law](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe%27s_law): it can be stated in many different ways, one of which is that when someone expresses extreme opinions in the internet it is impossible to know without additional information (for instance, someone’s posting history, if you care to remember it or look it up) whether you are talking to a fool, a moron, a jerk or an idiot. But it usually is an asshole. ---

Although I’m not sure Elon has really grasped the “pay for protection” business model. With Twitter he inserted an extra step between threatening the business owner and burning the business to the ground. ---

It’s in the news today that Vince McMahon is looking to sell WWE for $9 billion, which means Elmo could’ve been Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion for a fifth of what he spent on the bird site. And considering that they’re both manchildren with massive egos and an obsession with 4th grade humor, you’d barely be able to tell the difference under the new management. ---

I’d just like to see a cage grudge match between Vince and Elmo. For the pink slips: Winner gets both Twitter _and_ WWE. Vince is old but skilled and strong. Elmo is young(er) and ??? I bet the PPV take for that would be ginormous. Hope the streaming & payment platform doesn’t crash under the load. Just don’t subcontract the job to Elmo’s remaining H1B folks; I hear they’re already too busy to do good work. ---
