He’s been screaming “it’s overrun with bots!” since before he bought it. It was one of the claims he used to try and get out of the deal, and he’s used it since then to justify pretty much whatever decision bops into his head. ---

Between this and the latest choice of forcing paid users into the “For You” tab, I think I’m officially done with Twitter. Passed through all the phases: - Let’s wait and see what Musk does - Stick around, don’t allow bullshit to spread unopposed - ok, this isn’t really worth it, but it’s a habit - really should quit, but Mastodon and Post aren’t doing it for me - this just feels bad all the time. Bad software experience, a lot of the useful citizen journalists are gone, it’s weirdos and dark drama 24x7 now. Think it’s finally time for me to rip off the bandaid and actually give the alternatives a fair trial. ---

Can’t find a previous thread now, but regarding cow tipping, that is one thing that cellphone cameras have shown how that is impossible, because all videos posted on the internet show failures by people attempting it or farm guys debunking it by showing how cows weight too much or move around to prevent that. Now, that doesn’t prevent you from tipping a cow that is serving your meal in a restaurant, her calves will thank you. 🙂 ---
