I’m not sure I get that narrative from those graphs. They’re down a bit. They’re still really popular. Hell, Hinge showed growth on that graph. There’s some sort of downturn, but “dying” is really pushing it. I’m in the wedding industry, and while I don’t think I’ve had any Gen Zs yet, about half the younger Millennials I work with have met through some dating app or another, with, yes, Hinge becoming more and more popular. When I started in the mid-2000s, it was like a quarter to a third. (Of course, the type of people I work with may skew these observations.) ---

Up here in the Tundra, people meet at the curling rink, the church potluck, or at the Packer bar (During the meat raffle; I won a rack of ribs, and she got the bacon-wrapped filets… and I offered to grill 'em up for her!). I had the station wagon version that didn’t go all kablooey if rear-ended. It leaked and burned oil like a sonuvagun though so it always looked like it was on fire from all the smoke it produced, both out the tailpipe and from under the engine hood. American made quality! ---

I mentioned this upthread, but resistant to bullets, arrows, all-metal construction, angular surfaces, AWD, and sharp edges that might cut anyone coming close? He thinks he’s living in a world of Mad Max, where the bullet/arrow resistant is a plus, and expects crazed, leather wearing semi-cannibals to be jumping onto the vehicle! What a loon. ---
