We got my grandmother Welk’s autobiography ([Ah-One, Ah-Two!: Life with My Musical Family by Lawrence Welk | Goodreads](https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/3443059)) when it was in hardback in 1974 - I think I read it, because it was on paper, and within reach (my criteria for reading a book). Not directly about Elmo, but since he’s so enamored of social media that he paid $44 billion to be the Grand Poobah of Xitter, I found the article below relevant. Rats could add substantially to the Xitter user base, allowing Elmo to claim tremendous growth in new Xitter signups, although a high proportion of the new users would mainly be posting pictures of … well, rats. She’s also an adult, and a _very_ public figure. Look, making pornographic images of celebrities is as old as the graphic-based internet, and photorealistic images of celebs having sex are as old as Photoshop. I’m sure you’re familiar with Rule 34, right? Swift is the biggest celebrity in the world right now, so obviously there is going to be more porn featuring her than anyone else. It’s just how things work. The time to ban celebrity porn was 30 years ago, not now. ---
