On a serious note, are there really RW loonies who think the actual Pope actually isn’t Catholic? Wow, not one I’ve ever heard of nor would have expected. Oh sure, I could expect the lizard people CT to include the Pope along with nearly any/everyone else important in the world. But that’s IMO a different idea. ---

I’ve heard that many of them deny that the RCC (which would include the Pope) is _Christian_, but his Catholicism would appear to be assumed (except perhaps by sedevacantists). ---

Meh, it’s the same line of reasoning some Christians on this board will say evangelicals aren’t _real_ Christians for such and such a reason. Some Catholics like to think themselves hardcore of something. People have been having these kinds of fights for as long as there have been people. Maybe even as long as there has been religion. ---

Well, to be fair, not all the Popes are Roman Catholic. There are currently Tawadros II, Theodore II, Peter III, and Raphael Titus Otieno. Those are the leaders of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, the Chalcedonian Greek Orthodox Church of Alexandria, the Palmerian Catholic Church, and the Legio Maria, respectively. I think I got the list of popes and their denominations correct.
