“Farming” is a videogame term for performing repetitive, unfun tasks that accumulate rewards at a faster pace than playing the game “honestly.” World of Warcraft, for example, was famous for its gold farmers. Engagement farming is an extension of that idea. ---

The senator that Elmo feels should be jailed is guilty of accusing him of “[having] no social conscience or conscience whatsoever", and you just never say such things about Mein Führer. If only Elmo owned a car company that made high-tech cars that were critically dependent on ongoing technical support and the stability of its leadership, I’d rush out and buy one right now! 🤣 ---

Things are going great at Tesla. Previously he cut the PR department, in the latest gambit he cut the marketing department. Today the entire Supercharger group - all in addition to the ~10% layoff that appeared to be kind of random. My worry is the next couple of years at Tesla are going to resemble the final scene of Scarface (“say hello to my little friend”) as Musk drags the once promising venture down with him in his psychiatric death spiral. ---

I wonder how far the other Tesla stockholders will let Musk go? He has the largest stake, but is far from a majority. It’s clear to me that he’s a drag on company and the brand, but I’m not sure how the stockholders feel about it. ---
