There was an old episode of Mythbusters on that. It’s way safer peeing on an electric fence (almost impossible to get electrocuted that way unless you’re almost on top of it) than trusting your digits to Tesla (your fingers belong to us now). ---

And the pushback, according to Reuters and Elektrek, was because they’d already committed to rolling out more superchargers and needed the remaining people to meet those commitments. Now they’ve got a bunch of subcontractors on indefinite hold and anticipate rising dissatisfaction as charger wait times increase as GM and Ford users flood the network. ---

The most annoying thing when dealing with Muskrats: their undying faith that Elon is smarter than them, based on nothing. Elon Musk is successful, but I can’t think of a single “Eureka!”/4D-chess/masterstroke he’s done. Like most wealthy people, in my experience, there’s a lot of “how the hell did _this_ clown get so rich?” In the mix. Then there are the sycophants - the people that train people like Musk to be tyrants by saying “Hey, whatever you say, boss!” They’re the reason he was so outraged that Tinucci _dare_ question his conflicting mandates (increase the number of superchargers by year-end/fire 20% of your team). ---

Twitter keeps serving me up Tesla fans (wonder how the algorithm decided to do that) supporting a ‘yes’ vote. The ‘killer’ argument is that Elon will leave Tesla if he doesn’t get paid. Leaving aside whether that would be a good or bad thing, there is no way in hell he walks away - his ego wouldn’t allow it. ---

Tesla is still responsible for the bulk of his wealth; what are the odds he would let someone else control it? One article I saw today said he was threatening to scrap AI and robot development at Tesla. If I were still a shareholder, my response would be “Who asked you to?” Those are _his_ hobbies, funded by the other shareholders - Tesla remaining just a car company would be fine for most, I suspect. He’s not going to catch up with Boston Dynamics anyway, and he’s already developing AI at his own company - Tesla would either be getting leftovers or funding research for his other company off the books. ---
