Musk diverted 12,000 GPU chips reserved for Tesla over to X instead. Tesla is publicly traded, which means that, unlike his other companies, Elmo has a fiduciary duty to people other than himself. At what point do the shareholders show him the door for self-dealing at their expense? ---

Seriously, between his ego, yes men, possible (probable) drug use, poor impulse control and the rest of the package that is Musk, I expect that much like Trump, we’re eventually going to get a “YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH” moment out of Elon where he admits to doing something illegal while claiming it is his absolute right to do something because… reasons… (okay, probably it would technically be “again” since he’s done a lot of stuff that has already gotten him in trouble with the SEC along with others, but it’ll be even more blatant) And while Trump is finding it harder and harder to get away with that, I don’t think Elon is going to have even the initial success or deference that has plagued efforts to hold Trump accountable - although since he actually HAS the sort of money (absolute magnitude TBD of course) that Trump claims, he’ll still benefit from endless delays. ---
