Oops. Every building is going to be unattended sometime. Even prisons are unmanned after construction but before move-in. Then again in US English we talk about “health care” and the “health care industry”, etc. Whose services you seek only when you are _un_healthy. They care for your unhealth situation intending to make it go away. They ought to be the “sick care industry”. 🤪 😉 ---

The word “care” in this context is also very ironic, and the fact that the word is coupled with “industry” underscores the irony. Self-promotion, self-preservation, shameless profiteering – yes, industry does all those things as a matter of course. “Care” it does not do, and if it ever did, the person responsible would be sacked by the board of directors for just cause. The “HMO” acronym – “Health Maintenance Organization” – is a bit closer to the mark. None of these health “care” organizations give a damn about your or your health, but for a suitable fee, they will help you recover, maintain, and even possibly improve your health. Any “care” that happens will be from one of those rare individuals who happen to be empathetic, which individual will probably soon be fired for not being “efficient” enough. ---

Seriously, Kraken is a good name for a hockey team in a maritime-centric city. Fierce, scary, unstoppable. And not subject to fussing by offended ethnic groups. Besides, the fans can buy mini-krakens at the groc store to throw on the ice Detroit style. 😁 ---

I’d ask my liege to provide exceptions for Arrowhead and Kaufman (nee Royals) stadiums in Kansas City. There is an unfortunate racist slant to the Arrowhead name (and the Chiefs now play on “GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium”), but any attempt to rename either to a corporate sponsor would be as successful as renaming the Sears Tower in Chicago. ---
