I just block every single ad that I see on Twitter, regardless of content. It’s my way of ensuring that I only use the site in a way that causes Elmo to lose money. ---

Musk’s citizenship is not in jeopardy. There is not a one in a million chance of this happening. People WANT it to be in jeopardy, but the United States of America is not throwing out a billionaire. This is a ridiculous story. Hell, it’s wildly unlikely Musk would lose his citizenship if he WASN’T a billionaire; the government doesn’t have time to dredge through details like this from 20 years ago for mild offenses like people who worked during a student visa. ---

Working while on a student visa is small potatoes, it’s not like he was learning to fly an airliner or something. Far more concerning are his chats with Putin, a foreign contact. Not reporting that is automatic revocation of his security clearance. He was briefed on his responsibilities, he signed and initialed off about understanding what actions were prohibited or had to be reported. This is bog standard stuff, nothing esoteric or confusing. Sen. Menendez was bagged in part for unreported contacts and had his clearance removed awaiting trial. ---
