I just used that term as something to say. I really do have other things that have come upā€¦but I still appreciate the offers. For one, I have to let the maids in when they come at 12:15 and for two, my sister is supposed to call about one. Iā€™ve been told Iā€™m a hard person to keep ahold of, heh. If you donā€™t make sure I follow something, Iā€™ll bolt. This is because I have social anxiety and look for any excuse to get out of it. Iā€™m better in small groups and if Iā€™m with someone I already know. To me, I could have done this had someone I already knew came with meā€¦so when my mom said she couldnā€™t make it, that was it for me. You can ask **GIGObuster** about the first (and so far, only) time I went to one, if you want. I was so nervous. I didnā€™t talk much. Iā€™m very shy in real life. To the point of not saying much at all unless I know a person a bit. Really, I donā€™t know why I make these because about 80 percent of the time I wind up dropping out. But at least I get it started for others. šŸ™‚ Now, if I were to meet any of you single-y, that would be different. Iā€™d feel more at ease. ---

That wasnā€™t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. As usual, I wound up talking more than I figured I would and felt really comfortable by the end. The folks that showed up that I hadnā€™t met before all seemed like really nice people. Some with really nice spouses, even, who should have accounts here (hint hint). Special (and major) thanks to **Cisco** who made it possible for me to go (and who, I found, is not some 40 year old man) and **dalej42** who gave me a lift back and was very pleasant to talk with. ---

Baby steps, **Idle Thoughts** , baby steps. I donā€™t do well in groups myself and it takes me a long time to warm up to strangers. But if itā€™s a group of kindred spirits, Iā€™m much more at ease. At least with us Dopers, you can feel you know us, at least a little. Iā€™d forgotten how noisy LDM is when it gets a crowd inside. Too bad they donā€™t serve on the patio. ---

Soooā€¦ what had happened wuz! _clears throat_ I somehow got it in my head that Los Dos Molinos was on 12 st and Washington. I WENT to 12 st and Washington. My roommate and I were likeā€¦ Dang, howā€™re we the first people here? But decided weā€™d grab a table on the patioā€¦ have some iced tea, maybe order food and hope for the best. So we drank our iced tea. Had a nice meal. Eventually got a call back from a friend who had ANOTHER friend check the board to double check the date/location and omgz, there are TWO LDMā€™s not too far from eachother. :smack: But it was already kinda late and we were in the middle of our meal so we ate and went mini golfing instead. (Crackerjax ftw) Iā€™m sorry I flaked on the details, I know I owe at least one of you a visit. Mini-golf, maybe? šŸ™‚ ---

I move we move it, though. Los Dos Molinos gets _noisy_ where thereā€™s more than a handful in there. I suggest an old family favorite, [Rositaā€™s](http://www.rositasfinemexicanfood.com/) at University and Hardy in Tempe. Bigger place with side rooms where the noise isnā€™t so overwhelming, more choices on the menu, and I like their sangria better.
