Personally I discount them as they’re mainly based on his sharing a bed with a roommate for 4 years as a young bachelor (which wasn’t uncommon in the 19th century) and on his sharing a bed with his bodyguard whenever Mrs. Lincoln was away (which when you consider what happened when he _didn’t_ have a bodyguard near him takes on new meaning). He very well could have been but if he was gayer than Liberace on laughing gas there’s no real way to prove it. ---

Re Ryan Seacrest… Howard Stern had some bimbo on recently that ‘dated’ him for months and said they would go out in public together but never had any sexual contact. Not that I believe all of what some airhead says, I just found it interesting how clueless she seemed to be about it, like she couldn’t think of any reason in the world why he wanted to take her out around town but didn’t want to touch her.
