I’ll miss working at HQ, it was so much fun. The money was nice, too. I made some good friends that I’ll still be in touch with, though. I’ll miss the political skits on SNL, especially their take on Terezzzza. Kind of a bummer that Kerry didn’t win in that regard: she would have given them 4 years of material. My gall bladder doesn’t miss the tension, though. ---

I’ll also miss Elizabeth Edwards’ brief presence on the national stage. I hope she recovers from her [breast cancer](http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/vote2004/2004-11-04-edwards-cancer_x.htm), and that we see her again in 2008 and beyond. ---

My, aren’t we a bunch of Negative Nellys. You live in a country where you can speak (or type) freely, where you have plenty of food in your belly, and where HDTV has been mandated by Congress. Life is good. Me, I’ll miss the daily phone calls from various celebrities. Prior to this election no famous person had ever called for me. I didn’t even know they had my number! I was feeling so popular that I was considering getting an agent, but since Tuesday my phone has been curiously silent. ---
