I got laughed at when I said it in another thread, but this is part of the procedural war that the Trumpos are waging against America. I mean, just read that accounting of obstacles put up to her even being able to present a defense.
But the best part is yet to come: if / when Republicans start falling way behind in the polls, suddenly, Russian (foreign) hacking will be a thing.

I don’t know if they can so much suspend elections in advance as much as simply delegitimize the results and cast doubt on all of American democracy, with the idea of creating a constant destabilizing effect. Make Americans question the results. Make them question “free and fair” elections. It matters not that 70% of Americans are not in camp with Trump. The other 70% will be fighting amongst themselves. Some will fight about whether the resistance should be “moderate” or “left” and the left will fight about whether to be moderate left or radical left. The strongest tribe will be that which appeals to the most basic, animalistic instincts: “our race”, “our religion,” “our nationality” against “the other”
