I find **kanicbird** ’s basic premises here incredibly amusing. One, that Obama wasn’t born in the US, despite all evidence to the contrary; two, that demons exist; three, that G/god barters with demons for control over secular governments. I mean, the not-natural-born conspiracy theories are wacky, but the demon-blackmail addendum is just awesome. It’s a bit like David Icke. You take a conspiracy theory that is vaguely plausible- say, a shadowy cabal executing plans to form a one world government… then you add your own twist, like, “Oh, and they’re shapeshifting lizard men from the Fourth Dimension.” ---

Does this hold for most/all branches of Christianity? Does this have anything to do with Biblical literalism? Either way, this makes the problem even more difficult. If everything in scripture is the worrd of God, how do the Christian churches square the ‘just one God’ and ‘many Gods, but only worship this one’ statements? ---
