What is the registry setting to have the **Num Lock** turn on automatically when booting or restarting a workstation?

Errr, no guarantees and BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY FIRST

Run Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).

Navigate to HKEY\_USERS.Default\Control Panel\Keyboard.

Change the value for InitialKeyboardIndicators from 0 to 2.

Or just turn NumLock off\on (as desired) and logoff using ctrl-alt-delete then choosing “logoff” from the Windows NT Security box. This way you dont have to edit the registry.

I meant to say that logging off using the NT Security box would preserve the state of NumLock
