Well, if the Secretary General points the finger and goes “that’s totally wrong and morally indefensible”, or a General Assembly resolution to the same effect is passed, it’s a pretty good sign that a whole bunch of people who hate each other can all agree that you suck.
But generally the UN is a very useful source of internationally agreed facts, from e.g. the WHO, ILO, ISO, etc., rather than morals.

Especially annoying because the G7 was an economic organization. It was supposed to be the seven largest economies in the world. Now it’s the two largest economies, plus the third through eighth largest economies, plus another country with lots of nuclear weapons.
