Number of dead in hurricane vs. number of dead in Iraq today

No Problem, Sometimes people only answer attacks and not the posters just trying to answer the question posed.

I think I do. Normally when a mod edits a post, there’s always a reason:
“Last edited by ModMan date time, reason: fixed spoiler tag”
And I also think that if you discover typos, you should learn to live with that, as the rest of us do. Especially when it’s an OP in the Pit.

Hey! There’s gotta be more to this job than a free mug. If it’s making myself look less of a doofuss, then I’m on it.

OK, now I’m starting to panic.

I’m glad to see that you’re on the case. I, for one, was worred that samclem had used his mod powers to fix his link, correct the capitalization in the title, or who
knows what else, but you got to the bottom of it. Can we expect a special report on your findings?

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? The Gaspode does, that’s who!

You spelled “doofus” wrong.

The problem is that self editing an OP looks just as doofussy, and leads those of paranoid bent to susspect the worst motives.
Anyway I was also thinking of a similar sort of thread, but couldn’t think of what I really would want to come of that thread. We still don’t really know the cause of the 1000 deaths in Iraq (well the cause of the panic that lead to the deaths) so meaningful discussion is difficult.

Hey, I’m a dog. What can I say?

I can say: You’re good with Latin quotes, your sarcasm needs a bit work. And that I think that mods should set an example. Maybe you think they are great shining beacons of fairness and justice. Reading the Pit and ATMB suggests they’re not. At least for some posters.
And I think it’s curteous to follow form, i.e. telling the reason for the edit.

I think that the spelling is the least of your worries with that OP.

It’s the entire premise that makes you look like a… mug. (Easier to spell.)
