# Numbers 1-20 as Memory Aids

I got through about one chapter, before laughing it into the garbage (my father’s copy). The sheer stupidity, pseudoscience, and conspiracy theory paranoia-mongering made my head explode. I’m not going to debate it here, but I’m fairly certain this has been discussed on the board before.

Objectively, I think this guy is more a huckster than a quack. But, who knows. Maybe the snake-oil salesman really does believe what he’s selling.

Thank you Moonchild, I did Trudeau’s Maga-memory as a teenager and was trying to remember the the other day, which I did but I couldn’t remember 17 for some reason it was driving me mad. I did think 14 was gold ring though.  
As I remember, 15 was pay check I think americans get paid on the 15th of the month was the reasoning. 16 was sweets for sweet 16 and 18 was pint you can drink when your 18.

If you do not want to make up your own mnemonics, there are plenty described in @lynne-42 's book; I believe _Memory Craft_ is the one I read. That will not help you if you want an “American” aid for some reason, although obviously you can use the techniques there and substitute whatever symbols you want that are easy to remember.
