Inspired by [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=80166) thread:

1 is male
2 is female
3 is male
4 is female or possibly an effeminate male
5 is male
6 is female
8 is male
9 is female.

A is female
B is male
C is female
D through J are male
K is female
L through O are male
P, Q, and R are female
S through Z are male, but U and Y are androgynous

Anyone else?

So, in other words… I’m the only freak? I find that kinda hard to believe. I know my sister experiences the same phenomenon, so it’s not unique just to me.

You’re not the only freak - visit your posted link again. I posted to it before I saw this one. Just about EVERYTHING has gender for me.

Move to France where your fuc\*ed up logic works. I’m surprised, though. When you’re that high you most likely can’t use a PC, but maybe a Mac, they’re easy to use.

Well, jeez, _I’ll_ post a legitimate reply…

I did numbers (and colours, too) in the other thread, but here’s my take on the alphabet:

A,a=male
B,b=female
C,c=female
D,d=male
E,e=male
F=male, f=female
G,g=female
H=female, h=male
I,i=male
J,j=male
K,k=female
L=androgynous, l=female
M,m=female
N,n=male
O=male, o=female
P,p=female
Q,q=female
R,r=male
S,s=female
T,t=male
U,u=female
V,v=male
W,w=female
X,x=androgynous
Y,y=female
Z,z=female

Also, A&B and S&T and U&V all “match”, as if they are couples.

The big letters are “parents” to the little letters.

I don’t activly think about this, like, oh, my name is female, female, male, female, male, but when I stop to think about it the genders come surprisingly easily. Someone in the other thread said something about soft, even things being “female” and prickly, odd things being “male.” I’m not sure if I make that distinction; certainly some of the letters are male in a grandfatherly kind of way (like R) and some are female in a evil shrew kind of way (like K. K is a total bitch, she is certainly not soft and maternal. k is a cruel, selfish little girl, like Angelica on Rugrats, but worse.)

'Course I could just be crazy, too. There is a reason I call myself Lunatic. 😃

So true. Except 4 is definatly female, probably the motherly type, 8’s the effeminate male, and there’s no question 9 is all boy, probably the Errol Flynn type. It’s obvious if you think about it.

Furthermore Saturday is male, Sunday is female. Tuesday and Wednesday are female, Thursday and Friday are male, Monday could go either way (and nobody talk to me about what Gods they are named for as an accurate determination of the day’s sex.)

No, no, no, NO. Saturday is CLEARLY female and Sunday is Male. I’m with you on Tuesday and Friday but, Wednesday is male. Strangely, I agree with you about Monday.

😃 ::giggle::

Hmm, now, the days of the week. I want to say that Monday is female, because “Monday” sounds like “moon” or “mother”, but the day itself has a very male vibe to it. Tuesday and Thursday are soft, in-between days, and they are female. Wednesday and Friday are go-&-get-em days, and thus are male. Saturday is tall and robust, a Superman kind of dude. Sunday is a round, gentle and quiet earth-mama.

Also, Spring and Summer are unquestionably female, and Autumn and Winter are unquestionably male. With numbers and letters and colours, etc., I could see how people could have different opinions, but I really, honestly can’t see how _anyone_ would disagree about the seasons

No, no - not GENDERS - COLORS!

1 is blue
2 is red
3 is brown
4 is light green
5 is a grey-teal
6 is orange
7 is dark green
8 is yellow
9 is maroon
0 is grey

The decades also have colors, sometimes similar to the ones above (e.g. the 10-19 decade is varying shades of blue), sometimes not (e.g. the 40s are yellow, whereas the 80s are magenta.)

The alphabet has colors, too, but I’m not going to go into it now.

Ooh! Now animals.

Cats are all girls and dogs are all boys as we know.

Bunnies are girls, but wild hares and jack rabbits are boys.

Parrots are boys. The brightly colored ones have issues.

Eggs are boys.

Snakes, also boys.

Pikachus are boys but clefaries are girls.
