Here are the charges: 1. Persistent and repeated fraud (against all defendants). Justice engogon ruled in favour of sag’s motion for summary judgment on this cause of action on sept. 26, 2023 2. Falsifying business records under New York penal law (against all defendants). 3. Conspiracy to falsify business records under New York penal law (against all defendants). 4. Issuing false financial statements under New York penal law (against all defendants). 5. Conspiracy to falsify false financial statements under New York penal law (all defendants). 6. Issuance fraud under New York penal law (against all defendants). 7. Conspiracy to commit insurance fraud under New York penal law ( against all defendants). 2-7 are on trial along with what ever penalties that could occur. I wonder if he will do his “big scary man looking tough” through the whole thing? Or if he figures today was enough to get his “I’m a fighter” point across. ---

I wonder if anything would actually be done, even if Trump at some point threatens the judge or James directly. Even if is in a comically inept way. (“when I am elected they will be executed for treason”) ---

(“when I am elected they will be executed for treason”) I’ve said before that Trump operates like an organized crime boss: he never actually orders anything like a hit, so he can truthfully say, “I never ordered that hit on the guy.” Instead, he drops broad hints about what he’d like to have happen. They sound innocent enough (“Nice guy to do business with. Be a shame if anything were to happen to him,” for example) but his wishes are clear. ---

I’ve seen a few thumbnail shots of Trump in the courtroom today. He seems to be doing the same pose as his mugshot in Georgia. Someone must have assured him that he looks like a total badass when he poses that way. ---

I will say this. If at any point in the penalty phase any decision hinges on the defendant’s remorse or lack of same, well … he’s got the “lack of same” market sewn up. ---
