Yeah, legit perspective. It goes to the age old question of how to think of those who get their news from right wing sources and have no genuine clue that Trump said anything controversial at all. Definitely an argument to be made that such people are likely to agree with him even if they had heard it anyway… (Could theorize the same about the voters who hate Trump but think all Democrats are child sodomizing killers.) ---

Technically the previous breaches were enforced. It’s just that the penalties were not particularly onerous. The question is whether the next one will incur a marginally less feeble pittance, or have some actual teeth to it. ---

I think the judge is gradually warming-up the penalties, so as not to imply bias - doing it by the book based on prior cases. If he just throws a $1M fine out of the blue for Trump shooting his mouth off, that wont look good on the appeal. ---
